LEAD Pastor:  Ray Palmer

Ray and Jo-Anne Palmer

Ray is a native of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.  After high school, he pursued a business career in marketing.  His disillusionment with religion eventually led him to become a professing atheist.

At the age of 35, due mainly to the testimony of his wife Jo-Anne and the prayers of a small church, Ray came into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. About 4 years later, he entered full time ministry. Two churches and many years later, Ray was called to lead the ministry of New Life Sanctuary, a Canadian National Baptist Convention church in Winnipeg.

Ray is a practical guy. If it doesn’t fit life, he doesn’t have time for it. That’s the way he preaches too. He is passionate about God and life, and believes that everyone can be radically changed and find victory, purpose and fulfillment through Jesus.

Ray has been married to Jo-Anne for over 40 years and they have one awesome son, Steve.

about Family Life Church:

God has called Gilbert to the North End of Winnipeg to start a new church. He believes it’s God’s time to start Family Life Church in a neighborhood that has the highest crime rate in the city. The North End also has the largest Native (Indian) population in Western Canada. This particular part of the city also has the highest child poverty level in the country.

Gilbert believes that God is about to do a major restoration in Winnipeg and it starts with the most violent part of the city. They need prayer for wisdom, patience, perseverance, protection and most of all, the mighty hand of God to be with us.
